Tracy Jennings - Manager
Tracy Jennings began her career in advertising sales before taking the leap into the recruitment industry. Now with over 16 year’s industry experience working for both national and local independent consultancies, she has a proven track record for delivering an outstanding service through her ethical and honest approach to recruitment.
Tracy has now taken on the new and exciting venture of managing Beacon Recruitment & Placement Services Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bradford College. Under her passionate and dynamic leadership and guidance, she ensures that her team forge long term partnerships with both clients and candidates – helping to successfully launch careers and assist businesses to meet their recruitment needs.
Doug Stott - Company Secretary
Doug Stott, an Executive Director of Finance at Bradford College, began his career working as an Accountant; by the age of 26 he had quickly progressed to become a Senior Financial Officer of an American owned UK subsidiary company. Having made an impact within that industry, he was later headhunted to a Group Finance Director position within a UK conglomerate. Recognising the challenges Colleges would face in 1992, Doug made the transition into the Education sector when all colleges moved away from local authority control and gained financial independence.
As a Director at Bradford College, Doug has a unique insight into business trends and consumer insights. He felt the time was right to launch Bradford College’s next business venture - Beacon Recruitment & Placement Services Ltd. Doug realised the potential of a recruitment company within the Bradford College family, not only to save money for the College, but also to enhance career opportunities for students once they had completed their studies and moved into the job market. Beacon Recruitment & Placement Services, will add value to local and regional businesses through a steady flow of well educated and trained candidates, looking for their next step on the career ladder.
Michele Sutton - Director
Michele Sutton became Principal and Chief Executive of Bradford College in August 2004. She began her career working as a secretary and quickly progressed to become a successful Marketing and Business Executive. Her sharp business acumen has been built on years of experience working within the Print, Textiles, Marketing, Advertising and Education sectors. The Government recently announced that under Michele’s leadership, Bradford College has become one of the best of its kind in the country.
Armed with a Masters Degree in Career and Human Resource Development, Michele understands the importance of companies developing and improving their business potential through their people.
Bradford College’s income of over £60m provides education and training for over 20,000 students in further and higher education. We also cater for over 700 apprentices in our subsidiary company CityTraining Services. Michele works closely with employers and policy makers in the City of Bradford to provide a skilled/trained workforce that meets the economic regeneration needs of Bradford and the Leeds City Region.
With thousands of students that leave the College each year with further and higher education skills and qualifications, our recruitment services provide a unique opportunity and pool of candidates for employers who are seeking to recruit.
